Say Goodbye to Pooling Water in Your Port Orange Yard

In Port Orange, Florida, heavy afternoon storms and more than 50 inches of annual rainfall make effective drainage a necessity, not a luxury. Flat lots and sandy soils in neighborhoods like Waters Edge, Venetian Bay, Cypress Head, and Countryside often leave homeowners struggling with pooling water, soft lawns, and erosion whenever the skies open up.

With a 4.9-star Google rating, dozens of verified reviews, and hundreds of installations across Central Florida, we’ve built a reputation for solutions that last.

We frequently help Port Orange homeowners address problems such as water pooling near foundations, erosion washing away garden beds, and standing water around patios, driveways, or pool decks. Left unchecked, these issues can damage your lawn, crack hardscapes, and even threaten your home’s structure.

Our team installs custom drainage systems tailored to your property, including French drains, downspout extensions, channel drains for patios and pool decks, and drain boxes for low-lying areas. Each system is designed to keep water moving safely away so your yard stays dry and functional year-round.

What Drainage Problem Do You Have On Your Port Orange Property?

    • Are your walkways or pathways often muddy or slick because of water buildup?
    • Do your downspouts overflow during heavy Central Florida storms?
    • Is water collecting in the low areas of your yard after it rains?
    • Does mulch or soil from your garden beds wash away in downpours?
    • Are you seeing water pooling along the foundation of your home?
    • Do wet, soggy spots linger around trees or landscaped beds?
    • Is your patio, driveway, or pool deck left with puddles and slippery surfaces after rainfall?

Without a proper drainage system in place, your yard and landscaping are at risk of flooding. Standing water can kill plants, erode expensive hardscaping, and even cause structural damage to your foundation.

Many properties in Port Orange, including neighborhoods such as Waters Edge, Cypress Head, Countryside, and Venetian Bay, struggle with drainage problems or systems that weren’t installed correctly from the start. The result is erosion, pooling water, soft spots, and flooding in lawns, gardens, and landscapes. At Tree of Life Landscaping, we create customized drainage plans to permanently solve these issues and protect your property.

Drainage Systems We Install in Port Orange

At Tree of Life Landscaping, we design and install custom drainage systems built for Port Orange’s frequent storms, sandy soil, and low-lying yards. Every system is customized for your property and installed using NDS-certified best practices to ensure reliable, long-term performance. Here are the primary solutions we offer:

Drainage System Install Port Orange

French Drains

We install underground French drains to redirect water away from problem areas in your yard. These systems use strong PVC pipe, drainage rock, and optional pop-up emitters to keep lawns and garden beds in Port Orange from becoming oversaturated or washed out.

Channel Drains

Ideal for patios, driveways, and pool decks, channel drains collect surface water and route it into underground piping. This helps prevent slick surfaces and minimizes flooding in hardscaped spaces that often see runoff during Port Orange’s heavy summer rains.

Downspout Drainage

We extend gutter downspouts underground to move roof runoff safely away from your foundation. Our downspout drainage setups may include filter fittings, pop-up emitters, or connections to French drains and drain boxes, creating complete yard protection.

Drain Boxes

For low-lying areas that regularly collect water, drain boxes (catch basins) are a reliable fix. They gather pooling water and direct it into underground piping, giving Port Orange homeowners lasting relief from soggy spots in their landscape.

Our Drainage Solution Process in Port Orange

Every property is different, and so is every drainage system we install. At Tree of Life Landscaping, we follow a proven step-by-step process to ensure your solution functions properly, integrates with your landscape, and delivers long-term protection.

1. On-Site Evaluation

We start by visiting your property in Port Orange to see firsthand how water flows across it. Our team reviews grading, soil conditions, and runoff patterns, while pinpointing issues such as low areas, clogged or overflowing downspouts, and erosion-prone spots.

2. Custom Drainage Design

With NDS-certified best practices as our guide, we create a drainage plan customized to your property. This may include French drains, drain boxes, downspout extensions, channel drains, or pop-up emitters, all designed to work together as a complete system.

3. Professional Installation

Our crew installs each system with precision, using quality materials and proper techniques. We work efficiently, protect your existing landscaping, and restore areas like sod, mulch, or pavers so your yard looks great once the project is finished.

4. Long-Term Results

We don’t do temporary fixes. Every system we build is engineered to solve drainage issues at the source and keep your property protected through years of heavy Florida rainfall.

This contractor is highly recommended. They installed a retaining wall, paver patio, paver walkway and French drain, with decorative rock on top and along the border. They were professional, respectful of our property and had genuine concern over the quality of their work.

I recently had gutters and downspouts installed on my house and noticed a lot of standing water coming from one of the downspouts. I contacted Michael about possible drainage solutions and he suggested a french drain. He was able to come look at the site the same day, and after the utility lines were marked he installed the drain in one day. He was very professional and helpful, even taking time to make a trip to the hardware store to improve the design of the drain. I was very satisfied with the price, the speed, and the function of the project. I would highly recommend Tree of Life to anybody who needs landscaping. (He also contacted me a month later after some hard rain to check how it working. Great service!)

Mike was very easy to work with and I am extremely happy with the work he did for me. He did hard and soft landscaping, irrigation repair, installed two French drains, and cleaned and sealed my paver driveway. Extremely extremely happy with the results. He picks materials of good quality for installation, and takes pride in his work, coming and checking on if there is anything that needs adjusting after completion of the project. I definitely recommend.
